The valley floor sits above 4,200 feet and the canyon venues go far higher, which changes lift and battery behaviour — standard planning for us given how much we fly in Colorado. Winter inversion can trap haze in the valley and reduce visibility, so canyon and bench venues often produce a clearer show in deep winter than downtown does.
