UAV Systems is an Australian company specialising in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) flight operations and associated support services. We began trading in July 2006 and obtained Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approval in July 2007 and became the second UAV operator to obtain a CASA Operator’s Certificate in Queensland. UAV SYSTEMS is globally focussed and has grown organically over the past 7 years, working with the latest ‘clean & environmentally friendly technology’. Our customers include the Australian Government and private enterprise.
UAV SYSTEMS is more of a business resource rather than just an aerial service provider. Our RPAS solutions include sourcing key software and multispectral cameras & sensors (LiDAR scanning, IR etc). Our safe and cost-effective methods of drone aerial imaging and remote inspection / sensing serve as a unique business tool with unlimited applications, reducing the risks and costs associated with operating full-size manned aircraft. We carefully analyse our customer requirements and tailor unique aerial solutions to strict Quality control. Our customer solutions include UAV / UAS / RPAS training and seamless integration of unmanned aerial systems into existing business infrastructure. Our professional sensors include 24.2 Megapixel stills and full HD video. Stabilised Flying Cameras for mapping, survey, film / media productions and cinematography.
A portable ground based TV monitor and wireless down-link allow customers to view real-time (live) imaging of a pre-determined target area. The various remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) can safely take-off and land in small areas where full-scale aircraft cannot practically operate. We can aslo coordinate joint flight operations between manned and unmanned aircraft to meet certain objectives. Some of our UAV’s solutions can be deployed in as little as 5 minutes minimising costly resources and bulky ground support equipment. No expensive and bulky launch & recovery systems are required. UAV SYSTEMS offers unique visual intelligence data to support smart business objectives. Our aerial systems comprise of 3 primary components; authorised UAV aerial platforms (with various camera / sensor payloads), qualified & certified UAV controllers and portable ground control units (GCU’s).
Normal image acquisition altitudes vary between 0 – 400ft (121.9m) above ground level. Higher altitudes (3000ft) are possible with specific Area Approvals co-ordinated between UAV SYSTEMS, CASA and Air Services Australia.
